Haus Mühlbach

In Munich’s historic district Au, at the foot of the Nockherberg and right by the Stadtbach, a timeless luxury residence has emerged from a listed building complex: Haus Mühlbach. Here, where the Paulaner monastery once stood and later housed a military hospital, an elaborate conversion has been realized to create an exclusive city residence.

The building regulations, the old floor plans, and the massive walls presented particular challenges. After years of extensive renovation, the historic building now shines in new splendor, housing 124 elegant apartments and 4 penthouses. Particularly impressive is the baroque-style facade, which has been restored in accordance with historical preservation standards, creating a fascinating dialogue between historical substance and modern architecture.
